Burn-Out Busters for the Busy Freelancer

When Jerry (not his real name) became a freelancer, he was so excited because he thought that the flexibility and freedom to work from any location he chooses will reduce stress. He had worked for many years as a call center agent before taking that leap to online freelancing. He grew tired of the routine and thought that working from home would be the next best option.

He approached me, somewhat confused. "Why is freelancing as stressful as traditional employment?"

It made me think about my own life as a freelancer. At first, my initial reaction was that he was probably doing something wrong until I realized that he's suffering from burnout.

If I am not careful, it can happen to me too. In fact, it has happened to me before, but I learned a few things that helped me better manage stress and overcome burnout.

You probably know someone who needs to hear what we are about to discuss in this episode of FLIP Chat & Chill.

What are some of the practical ways that busy freelancers can deal with burn-out? Is it really possible to enjoy working from while juggling a lot of tasks and responsibilities? How do you achieve efficiency and effectiveness at work without sacrificing your personal happiness and fulfillment?

Watch this replay together with your freelancing friends and join us live so you can participate in the discussion. We want to hear from you.

    1. Pag minsan yung mga art-involved jobs like logo-making, or (in my case) video editing, may mga pinapaulit. As Rhea said, it's a good thing. Kesa naman tinapos ang contract with bad reviews.
