Kakaumpisa pa lang, susuko na agad?

It's been said that more than half of new businesses fail within the first year. We don't have the stats for freelancing businesses but we've compiled some of the common reasons why freelancers quit:

#1 Financial issues

#2 Too many rejections

#3 Pressure from family or friends

#4 Lack of discipline

#5 Work-Life Balance

Some of these reasons may come as a surprise, especially #5. it all boils down to expectations vs reality.

For example, when you start working from home, you picture yourself spending more time with the kids and not worrying about work too much. But when you start having multiple clients "work from home" turns to "home becomes work." Your social interaction also becomes limited so you start dealing with depression and other mental health issues.

What are the other challenges that newbie freelancers face and how can we avoid and overcome them?

  2. I agree ms Jessica..may mga reasons kung bakit minsan di napapansin ang app. letter mo..mabisa talaga ang apply more and pray hard din.. ask for guidance and acceptance For sure something worth it para sayo very soon.

  5. I agree ms Ana. Breaking point talaga is when you quit at ayaw mo na i pursue ang freelancing..In freelancing there is no breaking point to quit; breaking point to upgrade yes! meron kaya upgrade na package baka nandun ang hinahanap mo

  6. Hello po. Tama ung sinasabi nila na freelancing is not for the weak hearted. tulad ng lahat ng bagay na pinasok natin sa buhay natin, kailangan natin ibigay ang lahat ng kaya natin para sa freelancing - mag aral, bigyan ng chance ang sarili. wag mawalan ng pagasa agad agad. malay mo, malapit ka na, tapos bigla kang bibitaw. kung anong binibigay mo sa universe, babalik lang yan. freelancing is the industry of helping people. when you help people, the universe will help you too. 😀

And ask for feedback from the client who interviewed you.

  8. Me too, nagfocus ako sa Upwork since gusto ko talaga ay sa Upwork. Almost 3 months everyday akong nagsesend ng proposal, then nung March 11, 2019, very blessed kc I got 2 clients. Sabay nila na ako hired

  9. Yes Sir phoenix I agree, kaya po ko nag enroll sa va bootcamp kasi maraming skills pwede matutunan, gusto ko malmaan kung ano magfifit sakin na ma eenjoy ako para pag ngwork aq,if i enjoy it, I won't feel working at all

  10. In my case, yes, takot sa unknown pero sometimes kasi you will never know what else you can do if you will not leave your comfort zone - so ayun na.
I banked on the skills sa corp but I ended with a $10/hr first gig. Boost of confidence agad at more more upgrade!

  11. I honestly admit, I get demotivated after a rejection. I know I have the skills but I feel like I have to learn additional ones. Hands up to those who have so much confidence ...something that I have to work on.
