This is not just for freelancers but for new employers in upwork. No freelancer will apply to a job post with low pay. Meaning, employers will post a job with higher pay. 🙂
I think what upwork doing is just fine. kasi it means they are really serious about this kind of particular situation. taz hindi cla basta magpapasok nang kung sino2 lang. those who strive hard will earn it talaga.
Ms. Anna and Sir Phoenix is correct, I agree with their ideas changes in Upwork is acceptable to those people who have a clear set of mind for thier craft.
Challenge po ito sa VA Bootcamp na sana turuan nyo kami na kung paano kumuha ng client na hindi kailangan dumaan sa platform like Upwork kasi nagiging comfort zone si upwork kaya pag nag change ng policy ay ito na. kaya turuan nyo kaming mga freelancer na kung paano kukuha ng client na di gumagamit ng ano mang platform tulad ni John Pagulayan

I would treat it as a business. If I can afford and the result is worth I will spend wisely. Pag hindi enough ang budget try other platforms. It is an investment and at the same time follow the teachings at the VABootCamp.
Upwork will be a warzone for quality freelancers so dapat well equip tayo sa skills natin.. which is madaling sabihin mahirap gawin... ahahaha.. kaya effort2 din pag may time kung talagang gusto natin tong freelancing.. or hanap ng ibang platform...

When you want to be with Upwork, abide by their new policies. Take it as a challenge. Tataas ang value ng applicants kasi they will give their best.
