Last time I checked, the monthly net pay received by minimum wage earners stood at P5,922.

Nag-increase na yan ha.

Ang truth be told, it's not enough.

Especially if may binubuhay kang pamilya.

Paano pa kung ikaw lang ang kumakayod.

That's why others look for side jobs to add to their income.

Like Ycar Villamor.

She has worked in a BPO company for 9 years.

"The salary was minimum wage only so I also have to earn extra by selling different items inside the company."

But things changed when she got pregnant and gave birth.

"Year 2015 I already resigned from the BPO company but I don't have other sources of income yet. I starting selling items online to earn extra to help my husband.

I usually go to Divisoria to buy the items that I sell, then I got pregnant and gave birth on Nov. 16, 2016. While taking care of my baby, I realized it will be more difficult for me to go to Divisoria to buy the items that I need to sell then I decided that I need to earn money while not leaving my home and my baby."

That's when she got serious about working from home...

And the rest, as they say, is history.

Now, she's earning around P90,000-150,000 per month.

Pag "tagtuyot" months, she's making P60-70,000.

Not bad huh.

The best part?

This, I think, is priceless.

Get to know more about Ycar's inspiring story on this replay.

INTRODUCTION:

Meet Ycar Villamor, former call center agent from Laguna. She is a minimum wage earner and now she's earning around P90,000-150,000 per month.   Besides her salary,  she earns from her other business sidelines to make a living. But it's not enough. Until her sister introduced freelancing to her.  She decided to resign to her previous job for 9 years to pursue freelancing to avoid the traffic and night shift schedule and achieve better earnings.

Notable Quotes

  • Kasi kailangan gagamitin natin, ia-apply natin.

Journey to Freelancing

  • Ycar previously worked in a call center for 9 years. Income was not sufficient, which is why she rendered overtime, work from home, and selling various products to her coworkers.
  • Her sister was the one who introduced her into freelancing.
  • Ycar had a baby and the income their family had was only sufficient. She went back to freelancing afterward.
  • She had difficulties when applying for a job but due to her being in doing research; she joined other online groups including FLIP. She then learned that the secret to being accepted was the cover letters.
  • Things became better, and she now has her own freelance agency.

QUESTION AND ANSWER:

Just imagine, from minimum wage earner to six-figure freelancer.

Naapektuhan ba ng COVID-19 ang work from home mo?

Kung gusto niyo talaga mag work form home , pinaka una niyo talaga iinvest is lakas ng loob, mag invest sa courses, invest ng laptop for your work.
