"haiiist ngbabayad ka on time para di ka maputulan since mahirap sila makontak and now eto nasira yata ang modem ko"

"Ilang weeks na kayo walang net kami 2 weeks and still counting paunahan na lang sino unang maayos saten."

Well, these are just some of the complaints you can see about Internet connections.

Okay lang siguro mabagal or mawala ang connection if you're only playing games or scrolling on social media.

But what if you're a freelancer and you depend so much on the Internet?

Even if the Philippines has been steadily catching up with other countries when it comes to providing Internet access, there's still a lot of improvements that need to be done.

DSL, Broadband, or Fiber?

Ano bang mas okay?

And when it comes to choosing the right Internet service provider, what are the things you need to consider?

Pag-usapan natin yan on this replay of FLIP Chat & Chill episode.

  1. What if po wala pang available ISP sa area nyo and ang pinaka-ok lang na data ay hindi pa rin umaabot man lang sa 5mbps, what will you tell a client when you apply?

  2. Thank po dahil na tackle nyo ang topic na to dahil sa kagaya kong newbie nahihirapan akong mag decide kung anong magandang service provider, baka magsayang lang ako ng money same with the kind of laptop na magandang gamitin.

  3. Re internet connection - best to have a ready backup for the purpose and identify (and make friends with the owners) of the nearest co-working spaces 🙂 [currently we’re on Sky Broadband at home, backed up by Unlimited Data from Globe - but plan to get ADSL from PLDT once I get to slowly transition to freelancing - oh and yes there are 2 nearest co-working spaces from our place :-)]

  4. Ako nga walang pc kasi nasira charger eh working na ako nang nasira charger. Pero ayaw magpaawat sulat pa rin. Kahit mahirap for me mag type dito sa phone. person with visual impairment po kasi. Totally blind..

  5. Tried approaching Converge, poor customer service, di pa man ako naga-avail, query pa lang ang tagal nilang sumagot, tapos nung sumagot ba naman nung holiday (December) and binigyan lang ako ng 24 hours para mag-reply. Ene be yen? (ginagaya si Mark)

  6. Tanong ko lang po.
May epekto po ba yun bagal ng internet sa low standard ng pc o laptop na ginagamit o kaya po makaapek din ba ang low ng internet kahit high standard ang gamit na pc o laptop?
