Alright.

So you know what service to offer.

You've already honed your skills.

The next question is...

"How do you choose your first client?"

Have you ever thought of defining your ideal client?

Here's the thing.

Identifying who this is from the beginning will save you tons of time going in circles trying to be all things to all people.

It really is a game-changer.

If you're just starting out, you can probably get started by exploring the types of clients you don’t want to work with.

Yup, you read it right.

Until you know who you don’t want to work with, who you must work with, who you choose to work with, it’s easy to take work and clients that drag you away from the work you deserve to be doing.

Who can you deliver the greatest value to, who do you enjoy working with, and who needs what you do most?

Write a detailed description of your ideal client and include as much about them as possible including the problems they are trying to solve.

Make sense?

  1. I think yung isang magandang hina-highlight sa mga VAB students or graduates na given all the training they underwent, there is already value added and should not settle for nothing less (USD5 as a start).

  2. Hahaha, re Phoenix, yes, if the client is from hell, just leave them with due courtesy - just make sure to be paid for work done prior to getting closure.

  3. Yes yes. Kailangan maging handa. Hindi pwedeng sumabak sa digmaan nang walang dalang sandata 🙂 Thank you ulit coaches sa pagtulong sa amin kung paano maging handa 🙂 <3

Out na po ako, work na uli 🙂

  4. Yung first client ko po real state broker. We had a 3 months initial trial with $500.as social media manager.with facebook lang. Pero he made a nextdoor acct sabi niya concenrate here. My instruction paasiyang iba. But after 2 weeks.nawala bigla. Personal na matter. At nahiya na siya. Is He good or bad client?

  5. Yes, work "with" them - as freelancers, we are entrepreneurs, we bring value to clients by providing the services or outputs that they need, it is a matter of two entrepreneurs meeting - the freelancer and client - there is value exchanged in the process - value for value.
