"Good news! Your Upwork profile has been approved!
Even better news! You just got hired to do part time work with flexible hours and fixed rate."

Are you on cloud nine now?

"Wait! Do I need to tell my client that I have a day job? Or should I keep it a secret?
"How do you find the time to work additional jobs when you already have so much on your plate?"
"How can I stay energized and be more focused on my side gig when I'm also working full time?"

These questions are probably troubling you right now if you are still transitioning from a corporate work setting to full time online freelancing.

Don't worry. These are valid concerns and we're here to help.

1. First of all, you need to sit down and plan ahead. Life is not all about work. Make sure that you are giving yourself enough time to spend on other important things that you can't afford to neglect.
- How much time do you need to accomplish your tasks?
- Do you have enough time for rest and recreation?
- What events and occasions in the next few weeks and months do you need to attend that are non-negotiable? How will this affect your work schedule?

2. Legally and ethically, you should try to keep your day job and your freelancing work as separate as possible. Avoid multitasking. You might think that this is counterproductive but if you'll give it a try, you'll realize that not only is it the right thing to do. It also keeps you more focused and energized.

3. Write your goals and hold yourself accountable.
What is your target side income?
- How much time and effort are you willing to commit to make this happen?
- What are you willing to give up in order to achieve your goals?
- Do you have a friend or support system that can help you stay focused and hold you responsible in case you miss your targets?

These are just some of the things you need to consider when you are trying to juggle freelancing and your day job. I'm sure there's still so much we can talk about.

Why don't you come join our upcoming FLIP Chat & Chill session this Monday so we can discuss this topic more extensively? It's happening same time (5PM), same social media channel (FLIP).

You can invite your friends to join us, too!

  2. for me, dahan2x sa pag complete ng mga gamit like laptop, headsets, back ups and other electronics before transitioning to freelance. invest in high quality na mga gamit and educate yourself. Para at least pag transition mo, ang stressor mo na lang is yung interview process, time management and enhancing your skill sa task mo.

we really need to communicate na we still need help from them.

  4. I remember when I started freelancing last 2018, ayaw nilang maniwala lahat, nung binilhan ako ng laptop ng client ko, sabi nila baka ano na ibig sabihin niyan nung nag. 6 months na ako sa freelancing at nakita nila na may sweldo nga talaga, dami na nilang tanong if papaano daw maging freelancer

I have HB kasi simula nong pregnant kaya takot akong ma-stress masyado. I have my hubby's support but I know he is doubtful until now especially that wala pang client. I need to have one so I can prove to him that I've chosen the right path. Still hustling!

  7. my daughter is a freelancer and hindi rin ganun kadali specially mga anak nya 12 lang eldest and 1 yr old youngest at 4 sila. i agree with anna, hindi ganun kadali, it takes a lot of patience and bilib ako sa tyaga ng anak ko. naka one year na sya and imagine breastfeeding while on online job

  10. Watch JasSuccess storieseses... And you will be convinced.. I got the chance to watch many jassuccess stories when I became intern admin in VAB, and editing JasSuccess is a worthwhile experience and everyone's story became my inspiration

  11. Good thing may husband is very open minded when it comes about job also our eldest daughter, hired na rin sa upwork pero hindi pa kami naghahanap ng client kc hindi pa stable ang aming enternet

  12. Parang ang hirap mag-focus when you have a day job then a freelance job tapos you’re also the homemaker. How to do it all simultaneously without getting burnt out?

  13. Same here Mam A, no savings at all(because me and my hubby is a giver as well <3 ) Just jumped in with a leap of faith and faith in God <3 at dahil din sa mga realistic testimonies ng VAB'ers
This training is really an answered prayer.
Baka next nadin mag VA si Hubby, in Jesus name! <3
