My Sacrifice = Euro Tour

I'm taking a tour of Europe in August and my past sacrifices allow me to do that. Let me explain:

I earn above average, around P80,000 per month working from home. People ask me how I became 'successful' and how they can too. A lot of the times, I give step-by-step instructions. But sadly, when I follow up, most people say "Oh yeah, I don't have time to do the stuff you told me to".

Mind you, these are people who come to me and ask me how they can earn as much as I do. They come to me complaining about how hard it is to be working for little pay and I tell them what they need to do. So when they tell me "I don't have time to do the stuff you told me to", it's the same thing as saying "I don't have time to earn more money" or "I don't have time to improve my life". However, when I check Facebook, I see pictures of them going to parties or to the beach or something similar.

It's not so much that they don't have time. It's that they don't want to sacrifice their time.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't have fun in life. Of course you should. But you can sacrifice some of that fun now to be able to have much more fun in the future.

It wasn't easy to get to where I am today, I had to work hard for it. After work, instead of going out and drinking, I'd be studying and learning new skills that I could use for my freelance career. It wasn't easy, but it's definitely worth it.

Now, I have time to do what I want. I have time to go to parties and beaches if I wanted. In fact, I'm planning to tour Europe in a few months with my girlfriend. But it took sacrifice. I sacrificed in the past to get the rewards that I have today: more time and money than I've ever had before.

If you're not happy with your job - working from home/freelancing is a very valid option for you. But it will take a temporary sacrifice of time and effort in the present to get results in the future. Even if you don't want to freelance, any path you take will require a sacrifice of time/effort/money today to have a better future.

So either get moving or stop complaining.
