Tax tax tax!

After financial planning, let's talk about our least 'favorite' important topic - TAXES!

It's a touchy subject, but it's still our responsibility as good citizens (not to mention, a government requirement)
But on a brighter side, being a taxpayer also helps us with:

Housing plans
Car loans
Travel visas
Other applications that need 'proof of income'

O sige na nga.. Bragging rights na rin especially when you raise political issues in your area

Here's the replay of the TAX 101 webinar of Marv de Leon from Taxumo.

  1. Nakaregister po ang business namin sa husband ko which is employed, Pwede pa po ba ipalipat ang bir registration and mayors permit in my name para mas maliit ang tax since unemployed po ako?

  2. I learned from a friend na nag-operate ng business sa isang TNVS company that once you registered sa BIR, they will require you to do bookkeeping to track your expenses and revenue and need to show sa kanila when you pay your taxes. How true is this? IS this also applicable sa mga freelancers?

    1. Jowanie Stanley hello. Sorry for the info overload. Ganyan din ako when I started learning about taxes. But it is good that you attended to at least get an overview. We can give Jason the presentation so he can share with you guys and you can review it. Thanks.

    2. Hi Jowanie Stanley. Hindi po. You need to register as a self-employed professional. As we discussed sa Live, iba po ang taxes for employees and entrepreneurs. As freelancers, we are already considered entrepreneurs, hence we also have to pay business tax apart from the income tax.

    1. Dhez Clemente wala pong minimum earnings required to register. Basta you are earning income as a Filipino citizen, we are required to register our biz and file our taxes. Like we said sa webinar, kahit 0 earnings kaliangan pa rin mag file. Kailangan ipaalam sa BIR kahit wala kang babayaran na tax. The good news is that you can do all that sa Taxumo.com 🙂
