While it's fun to work from home, freelancers need a change of environment to enhance their creativity, get a temporary "office feel", meet other freelancers, or to simply spice up their freelancing journeys.
Oftentimes, we head to coffee shops, malls, parks, or any where there's good internet.
A few weeks ago, Jason posted this photo of C.A.M.P. co-working space in Chiang Mai. This has been our favorite work spot for the past 2 months that we've been "nomading" here.
Aside from being open 24 hours, C.A.M.P. provides great creative environment filled with books, comfortable desks, good lighting, and busy digital nomads.
Most of all, they don't require any purchases or memberships for anyone to work here.
You have the option of getting a 2-hour internet voucher, for every 50 baht worth of purchase (The food and drinks are cheap, with prices ranging from 15-85 baht.).
But if you have your own internet, or if you're an AIS (Thai telecom company) subscriber, you can avail of their Super Wifi package and work in C.A.M.P. for free!
And since internet speed is very important for freelancers, here is one photo I took after doing a Fast.com test here.
And this one below is a screenshot of a test I did when the space was crowded.
Not bad at all, right?
After sharing this on FB, Jason received lots of comments about how our fellow WAHPers are also interested in creative environments.
Turns out, we already have some co-working spaces all over our country. They're not free, like C.A.M.P., but they're good alternatives for any freelancer who wants to work in a quiet place with great internet.
So, we decided to create our own directory of co-working spaces in the Philippines.
I would like to thank everyone who contributed in this directory, with special thanks to the Philippine Digital Nomads group.
We tried contacting every company on the list to get their internet speeds but unfortunately, only very few responded.
But, some have been very nice to provide us with screenshots of their Fast.com tests as proof. Thank you, guys.
