What Are The Signs You're Not Fit For Freelancing?

Have you ever been in a romantic relationship where you kept questioning if you're really meant for each other? Did you keep pushing and fighting for it even if the signs were obvious that he/she was not the right person for you? How did it end? What lessons did you learn from the experience?

Sorry I didn't really mean to pry into your love life! But you know what? Professional relationships can be like that, too! For it to work out, you and your partner (client) have to share the same values, adhere to the same standards, play by the same rules, and be on the same page. Your skills should also match the needs of their business if you are looking to work with them continually.

In the same way, you need to develop qualities that will help you thrive in the freelancing industry. Working with a regular client is one thing. Being able to sustain your freelancing business and work with multiple clients for many years is another. If you are serious about making a career out of this, watch the replay of this FLIP Chat & Chill Episode where we'll attempt to answer the question:

  1. May day job ako kahit nakapag-start na ko sa freelancing since I don't get much support at home when it comes to my content writing career. Kaya para walang gulo, pinagsabay ko freelancing at saka day job

  2. I agree with Ms. Anna. Kelangan mo talaga magsipag at magpursige para magkaroon ka ng client. Di porket nag-VABootcamp ka e makakahanap ka kaagad ng work. Kelangan mo i-apply lahat ng mga natutunan mo. Hustle lang. Wag sumuko if eto talaga ang goal mo.

  3. I remember when I shared freelancing to my friends, una nilang tanong " Secured ka ba dyan?, Like if meron ba daw contract" Kaya sagot ko nlang na meron iba may contract but mostly wala, so ang technique sa freelancing if you got a client, find another one pa basta kaya p ng time mo, and then you save.. kasi malayo talaga agwat ng sweldo sa Pilipinas kung ikokompra mo sa sweldo sa freelancing, and in that way, grab the chance na maka.pag.ipon ka or mag.invest while you still have your clients. yan yung magigigng security mo in the future, yung investments na galing sa freelancing

  4. Yes, nung nagsimula ako maghanap ng work at gumawa ng cover letter. Madalas kung iniisip na baka hindi magustuhan ni client yung cover letter ko at saka baka isipin nya na boring yung personality ko... iniisip ko na baka walang magtiwala sa akin... pero kahit madami akong worries, I still move forward, baka kasi may miracle na mangyari along the way. 🙂

  5. Wow! Hi coach LJ😊 and to all idols.. nagjoined ako ng July GHC en still no client..cguro it's b'coz nag nagstop nko s pagapply b'coz i have a business that needs to look onto..hard to decide where to focus😲

  9. I think kaya marami rin ang nag quit sa freelancing, they treat freelancing similar to 9-5 employment. One of my clients told me to treat his business as my business so that I can be more productive kahit na encoder lang ang work ko.

  10. Minsan kasi kung ano ang iniisip natin nangyayaru. Every interview claim it na sayo yung job and be hobest sa answer mo para makuha mo ang job kc alam ng client if serious ka at kung e reject ka man laugh on it meaning may para sayo at learn on that rejection.
