“Hindi kita gustong paghintayin, sadyang marami lang kayo sa queue ko. Isa-isa lang.” - Call center agent.
Sad, but that’s the reality for most, if not all call center agents.
Overworked, stressed out, and some burned out.
Struggle is real talaga ang peg nila but they still do it.
They still wake up everyday and endure it.
Why?
Even if they’re complaining and whining about it, they choose to do so because they want to provide for their families and loved ones.
It’s okay for them to make some sacrifices as long as they know they can provide a better life and future for their loved ones.
Hindi na nila masyadong iniisip yun traffic, commuting issues, at yun ulan or bagyo.
However, some people still decide to quit this rat race.
Not because they don’t love their family anymore.
Or they don’t care about their future anymore.
But they’ve realized that there better options out there.
That they can both earn and have more time for themselves and their family as well.
They can have the best of both worlds.
They just need to take a big leap of faith.
Get out of their comfort zones.
Believe in themselves more.
And take ACTION.
Just like Liz.
She used to work as a call center agent and team manager for six years.
However, the demands of motherhood and child care prompted her to become a stay-at-home mom.
She tried to work again in the BPO setup but her physical and mental health suffered.
She became a stay-at-home mom again and tried working as an ESL teacher.
The pay was small and not enough to help with her family’s financial situation.
In her desperation, she discovered the world of freelancing/VAs and was able to land her first VA job in an agency.
She was able to earn 6 digits with just one client alone but her mental health suffered greatly due to stress and pressure.
After taking a break and getting motivation from her family, she was able to get new clients.
Her road to success and good health was paved with struggles and challenges.
But, now she’s enjoying the freedom of time, flexibility, and unlimited earning potential as a freelance VA.
Truly, the difference between the impossible and the possible is a man’s determination.
It takes a lot of sweat, determination, and hard work to make a dream into reality.
Victory is always possible for people who do not know how to give up.
Her hard work, determination, and persistence led to her victory.

"Dati pinapakita ko sa application na nanay ako, kasi ang nanay ay pursigido, they will do everything for their family para mag-earn." - Liz
"Yun laman ng bawat cover letter ko, lagi ko hinhighlight kung gano karami yung anak ko, yung buhay ko, there are times na mapapa-exam ako, and maiinterview, pero hindi lahat umo-okay." - Liz

"Fortunately Dec 2018, nahire ako with an agency. Doon ako nagkaroon ng 1st online work as a freelancer." - Liz

"Ako yung tipong apply lang ng apply, di ako mapili, whichever comes first. May pros and cons kasi pag sa agency. Kung gusto mong matuto ka habang wala ka pang pang-enroll, okay lang mag-agency, downside lang di ka pede magkaroon ng other part time." - Liz
"Nung time na yun din kasi sa agency, medyo takot pa ako. Yung ibang malalakas ang loob, direct client ang tatargetin." - Liz

"Dont invest too much on ur 1st application. Distribute to other application-" Phoenix
"Gumawa muna ako ng maayos na cover letter, and then kada mag-aapply ako, may ineedit edit ako depende sa application. Ngayon di na ko nagplaplatform." - Liz
