How A Chicken Started Her Journey to Freelancing - Interview with Jasmine Dooma
As they always say, when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade.
The lemons signify the sourness or difficulty in life, and making lemonade is turning them into something positive or desirable.
Like everybody else, Jasmine had a lot of "lemons" in her life.
But instead of sulking over these lemons, she pushed herself to be better and made lemonades out of them.
Jasmine was a school teacher for 5 years, but when she had the option to do the teaching at home, she then ventured into becoming an ESL teacher.
As an ESL teacher, she was earning just enough so she could provide for her family. But because of her background - a noisy, crowing chicken, her classes were rated low. Jasmine was an excellent teacher, but that didn't matter if you have a noisy environment as a background.
That's why she needed to do something. Since she can't kill the culprit, she resorted to looking for non-voice jobs that could sustain her simple lifestyle.
As she moved forward to today, Jasmine has been happily working at home and spending time with people who matter most. She also enjoys working with her team experiencing the cool perks and having a "family" online and offline.
