Sabi ni "Tita Miriam" (aka Merriam-Webster), a generalist is someone who knows something about a lot of subjects.
In short, a "jack of all trades."
This works in all career choices. And that includes freelancing.
So is it good or not?
Well, all things have their own advantages and disadvantages.
Knowledge is power, right? So having a good understanding of a wider selection of topics is a HUGE benefit.
Also, a generalist tends to have more transferable skills — which are becoming increasingly important in this fast-changing world.
Not to mention that being a generalist equals career flexibility.
Now, this is just the tip of the iceberg.
You'll discover the other good (& not so good) things about being a generalist in the next episode of FLIP Chat & Chill.
Happening on Monday, August 24, at 6pm.
Don't miss this out!
