Saan ka lumaki?
Who are your friends?
Where did you study?
Chances are you’ve been asked these questions especially when you meet new acquaintances.
More often than not, the answers to these questions help us form an opinion about the other person with regard to his or her background, character, and status.
And sometimes it can also lead to preconceived judgments or prejudices.
It’s because our environment is an important influencer in our lives.
It influences our lifestyles, decisions, and mindset.
Just like plants, an individual will grow or succeed in life if given the right environment for it to thrive.
Choose positive and supportive people who can pull you up and not drag you down.
Choose the environment or community that will not hinder your growth.
The choice is always yours, to begin with.
Don’t allow yourself to be a captive of the environment in which you first find yourself.
I believe your environment influences your experience, so make it a positive one.
Always remember that your current situation is not your final destination.
The best is yet to come.
Take action and don’t be afraid to rock the boat.
