Cherryl Alipio’s Journey to Freelancing

• After graduation, she went to Manila to find a job and landed a job at a furniture company for 10 years. 

• She worked for another company again but she got pregnant so she needs to resign and stay at home with her kids. Her husband push to work abroad to sustain their financial needs. 

• Her husband discovered about working online (VA Bootcamp) and told Cherryl to stay at home and work online. 

• By that time, Cherryl is still afraid because she almost worked in the corporate industry for 15  years so she has a doubt if freelancing is for her and also she is not good at English so she looks again for work outside. 

• Someone offered her a job near her house and at that time she thought that it was a blessing but it's turn to be the most painful job experience that she encountered working in a corporation. She experienced unpaid work and was blamed for a mistake she did not do. She worked very hard and pleased everybody and her boss but they treated her inhumane.

Paano mo nasabi na sa E-commerce talaga ang niche mo? 

Kasi from the start sir nasa sales na ako. From sales napunta ako ng purchasing and nitong huli is sa accounting parang same dun sa Amazon na pag dadaanan mo and nasa sales yung passion ko. Familiar na sa akin yung mga terms and yung mga ginagamit naming tools. 

After you enrolled, saan po kayo nag focus na niche?

Sa E-commerce. 

What are your particular skills para masabi mo na sa sales ka?

Focus more on product research so dapat familiar ka dun sa mga criteria na profitable, return of investments, checking VAT and more on accounting. 

What should be learned (app/Software) in being a VA?

If makukuha nila yung PDF file ko nandun na lahat ng tools na kailangan mo as Amazon VA and lahat ng links nandun.

Yung mga tools po ba na included dun sa file po na sinend niyo ang usually na ginagamit?

Yes, based on my experience.

Isa po akong Third year college BS Information Technology. Ano po kaya possible ko na skills and  saan po ako puwede mag start?

Sa freelancing hindi natin kailangan kung ano yung natapos natin. Ang pinaka importante is kung paano natin mai-aaply ang mga nalalaman natin and mahanap natin yung particular niche na para sa atin, since BSIT why not try web design.
