Relationships are important.
Right or right?
But they aren't only important in personal life.
As a freelancer, you also need to build relationships with your clients.
Relationship building allows you to get new customers, retain existing ones, and manage your reputation.
And how are you going to do that?
Let me give you 3 tips.
One, this may sound very basic but you should keep up with people. Check-in with those you've networked with once in a while. A simple "hello" would mean a lot to others.
Second, never take advantage of people (or specifically your clients). NEVER. And be honest with them as much as possible. Remember that honesty is the key to building trust.
Third, show SINCERE interest in your client's business. Let them know that you care for their business. But avoid being pretentious.

What is the first step nga ba in building a long-term relationship with a client?
Yes it is really important... 4 years nah kami ng client ko and still counting.
How did you know or how does it feel the client is easy to get in touch from time to time
Actually 3 clients of mine, all 4 years nah
Congratulations on this! Looks like you've been doing a good job.
Thank you newbie here
Thank you. AT Guintu.
So, it is knowing that fine line between being friendly and too friendly for comfort.
Thank you Jenny
Point taken po Ms. Anna.
dapat di emotional queen 😀
Just let it go
Or like kay Jason Dulay, hanap/gawa ng side projects, re coffee :-). Yup, it is a business after all - freelancers are digital entrepreneurs in essence.
Ito yata ang pinakafunny na fcc na nadaluhan ko live.
The beauty of freelancing: The freedom to choose who we want to work with. And we should treat it as a business.

Learn to negotiate. Nice!
Among my 3 clients, isa dun ang main client ko tlg. Main kasi mdyo possessive but worth to keep. May critical time to work kasi xa so yun yung specific time na nirender ko para sa kanya. Pagnarender ko nah yun free na ako to work for client 2 and 3.
It doesn't take a genius to thrive in freelancing. Kelangan maabilidad. NIce one, Ms. A.
Nice Ms.Anna you are helping other freelancers as well.
Ang sa akin i dont delegate pero i have to tell the client tlg that within the work time, ito lang ang magagawa ko and should be reasonable. Maiintidihan ni client yan. Ang ayaw na ayaw ni client tlg is yung sabihin mo nah matatapos mo ung task pero hindi pala... kasi most of the time, yung next project nila is may kinalaman sa task na binigay nila.
Thanks sa insider tips!
Right, your reputation is on the line if you fail to deliver what you promised.
Meet deadline and be efficient , and meet the expectation as per Sir Phoenix.
yes true. no Filipino time.
always meet the deadlines.
Know your capacity
Agree, we have to be respectful of the client's time. There's no such thing as Filipino time for them. Other nationalities hate that.
