“How to be you po?”

“Hahah Bakit?” nakatawa kong sagot.

“Client Magnet po kasi kayo, Ms A.”

Ano raw?!

Natawa ako when this convo first happened sa FLIP.

Sa totoo lang kasi, I’m not hiding any kind of “magnetic force” that attracts contracts.

Nope!

I still get not-so-good days din in my freelancing career. But sanayan lang siguro that’s why I have learned to turn most days into fruitful ones.

To answer the question once and for all, eto na’t ilalahad ko na ang aking mga sekreto.

3 Top SECRETS to Becoming a “Client Magnet” Freelancer

I’m very sure that this has been shared paulit-ulit online.

Instead, eto na lang:

3 Top SECRETS to Becoming a “Client Magnet” Freelancer

3 True-to-Life Steps to Becoming an “Attractive” Freelancer

I know, medyo boring sya but peks man, eto talaga ang mga ginawa ko para maging client magnet (raw).

1. I studied freelancing.

Sa totoo lang, I created my Upwork profile before I understood freelancing. Nag-submit ako ng madaming proposals - good thing wala pang suspensions noon.

So ayun!

If you want to learn something, natural lang na pag-aralan ito at pag-ensayuhan, ‘di ba?

2. I immediately applied what I learned.

Immediately - as in, agad-agad. ?

So, I guess, it all boils down to this: “Gaano ka ka-atat na mag-succeed online?”

If super atat ka na rin, then ano pa ba hinihintay mo?

3. I kept on 'prettifying' my profile.

I kept my freelancing business running.

Based on observations, eto yung mga nakaka-ganda points ng profile para sa’kin:

  • 5-star Feedback

Pag-upo ko, he immediately switched the playlist to 90s music. Aba! may attention to details si kuya.

Ganun din sa Upwork, and in other online platforms.

Star-ratings ang labanan so bigay-todo ka na!

If keri mo naman mag-submit ng tasks earlier than the deadline, umextra sa attention-to-details and responsiveness, mag-double check for client satisfaction, or kung bet mong mag-feeling close sa mga video calls, why not chocnut?

Sa tuwing naha.hire ako, I kept increasing my rates 😉

After nung $5 contract ko, ginawa kong $5.50 ‘yung rate ko. Then $6, $6.50, $7, $8, and so on.

But when I enrolled sa Master Class noon, I learned about value-based offers and pricing.

Kaya ngayon, nakakapag-$15-$20/hour ako, kahit for simple projects. ?

‘Yun lang. BOW!

Amboring ano? Mas bongga sana if my ‘magic’ or ‘shortcut’ talaga para magka-steady flow of clients pero wala eh. (Kung may alam kayo, please let me know sa comments.)

Paulit-ulit yan for the past 1 year & 6 months.

(aral + gawa + consistency) x (dasal + pananalig) = client magnet freelancer

I thank you. *bow ulit*

P.S.<

I get a lot of PMs sa Facebook, super sabog na po Messenger ko.

So, if meron po kayong topics na nais niyong mabasa dito sa blog, please COMMENT them below.
